This page describes how BRACE Community Response CLG uses social media and what to expect from us on these channels.
Our social media accounts
BRACE Community Response CLG shares information from our social media accounts on X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram to keep you informed of developments in our service and more broadly about responses to drug and alcohol use. We also occasionally feature job vacancies and other relevant information.
What to expect
- If you follow us on social media, you can expect tweets and posts covering some or all of the following:
- News and developments relating to our services.
- News and information about other services with whom we collaborate.
- Job adverts for positions in our service and other related services.
- Retweets and shared posts from other users that we think will interest our followers, particularly those from our services
Our social media sites are managed by authorised staff of BRACE Community Response CLG.
Who we follow
We follow relevant accounts and pages, especially those belonging to Substance Use Related Services, Community Development Groups, and Peer support services. If you follow us, we will not automatically follow you back. Retweets, likes, shares, and follows do not imply endorsement of any kind by BRACE Community Response. Comments, Tweets and replies Please do not include personal or private information in your comments, tweets or replies to us. This is to protect your personal data and private information. We welcome feedback from our followers and we will try to join the conversation where possible. We are happy to respond, where relevant, to queries from the public, but regret we cannot reply to all comments and queries.
Respecting other users
We welcome your input and thoughts, but reserve the right to remove comments or content that include:
- Discriminatory, obscene, offensive, abusive, bullying, defamatory or harmful language about people or organisations
- Anything that negatively targets people or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender or any other protected status under Ireland’s equality legislation
- Political commentary or debate
- Factually incorrect, fraudulent, deceptive or misleading information
- Private or personally identifiable information such as names, email addresses, addresses, phone numbers, and PPS numbers
- Anything that infringes on another person’s intellectual property rights or copyright.
- Unrelated information or links
- Commercial promotions or spam
We aim to moderate the content featured on our social media accounts in a timely manner; however, this may not always be possible. You can contact us to report content that you believe breaks these rules. You can also report it directly to X (Formerly Twitter, Instagram, and Meta.
Availability
Facebook, Twitter and Instagram may occasionally be unavailable, and we are not responsible for any lack of service.
Privacy
Our social media accounts are hosted by Meta, X (formerly Twitter), and Instagram. You can find their privacy policies online.

Please note that communicating with us on social media is not considered contact with BRACE Community Response for official purposes and we are not obliged to monitor or respond to requests for information on social media. Failure to engage should not be viewed as a refusal to comment on a particular issue.
